The Honda Gold Wing will soon be getting Android Auto integration. The update, which will be available in mid-June for all current-generation Gold Wing models at no additional cost (a Bluetooth headset will be required however, and must be purchased separately). Android Auto works with phones running Android 5.0 or higher, allowing Google Assistant, music playback, phone calls and messaging.

Although the 2020 releases of the KTM 890 Duke R and the KTM 1290 Super Duke R both featured updated suspension components, WP Suspension felt there was still room for improvement. Consequently, it has announced premium suspension upgrades to the OEM suspenders. Additionally, an adjustable steering damper is also available.

The Financial Times of London reported yesterday that Norton’s new owners, TVS of India, plan “to invest high tens of millions in the hand-built luxury bike group in a global drive to revive the glory days of the past when Norton’s machines were considered classics.”

In a release posted yesterday, the California Highway Patrol reports it’s issued 2,493 citations statewide for speeding more than 100 mph since the state’s stay-at-home order was issued April 19, along with a 35% decrease in traffic volume during the same time period. According to the LA Times, “one motorist was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving and driving without a license after officers clocked him going 165 mph in a Cheverolet Camaro on Interstate 5 in San Juan Capistrano, an official said.”

Well let’s just consider this another positive aspect of our little pandemic, the average Joe Buyer now being treated like royalty. Bloomberg reported yesterday that Indian conglomerate TVS Motors is among prospective bidders eyeballing Norton Motorcycles, which went into administration in January. Norton’s already stated it’s in talks with buyers, one of who will take on its assets as well as its millions in debt. That’s probably a drop in the bucket to India’s third-largest motorcycle manufacturer, which has a history of partnerships with other builders: Most recently, BMW’s G310 R and GS are also built by TVS in its Chennai factory.
