Bikeland.org has unearthed a video teaser for what it suggests is an updated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14.

The video (see it after the jump) appears to be part of what’s likely to be a series of teasers leading up to a big reveal on Oct. 10. Though the video itself doesn’t mention either Kawasaki or even motorcycles, for that matter, but Bikeland.org seems confident the video is for a new ZX-14.

There are a couple of hints to support that view. The most obvious is the use of the number 14. Apart from the crop circle pictured above, the video uses the number 14 for both the fake news station and in the bottom right corner on the news ticker for the Nasdaq index tracker. There is also the farmer’s account of a loud noise, the large Z-shape on the open door on the second floor of the barn as well as the green font at the end of the video.

The current Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 (also known as the ZZR1400 in other markets) also has a somewhat alien-looking front face with its bulbous shape and four projector-beam headlights. Kawasaki could be playing up that alien theme with this teaser campaign about mysterious phenomenon and crop circles.

Kawasaki introduced the Ninja ZX-14 at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show as the replacement for the ZX-12R and the company’s new flagship and most powerful motorcycle. Rumors of an update have been circulating in recent months, with MCN reporting Kawasaki has patented a supercharger for the ZX-14.
