Many racers have a hard time figuring out what to do with their lives once their racing career is over. Two-time World Superbike Champion, James Toseland, isn’t one of those people. Throughout his racing career it was no secret Toseland’s other love in life was music. Now that his racing career is through, he’s traded his leather racing suit for a faded leather jacket and some ripped jeans, gone into the recording studio, and come out with his debut album, Renegade.

Some might describe his style as a bit dated — it sounds a little 90s rock band to me — but he’s already embarking on a UK tour. And if the rock star dream doesn’t pan out for him, he’s still got a day job as a MotoGP presenter for BT Sport.

Curious to see the other side of James Toseland? Check out the title track to his album below.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
