Brazilian police made what they thought was a breakthrough in an investigation into a string of carjackings. The key evidence was a baseball cap bearing what police believed was the suspect’s name: Harley Davidson.

Sergeant Cunha, chief of police in the town Guapo in central Brazil, appeared on a television news station Goiania with an appeal to the public for help in finding a Mr. Harley Davidson after investigators found a black Harley-Davidson baseball cap and a gray T-shirt linked to the suspect.

“He left a grey T-shirt which he had used to cover his face, and also a baseball cap with a skull embroidered on it, along with the name Harley, and the citizen’s surname, Davidson, who is probably the miscreant we’re looking for,” Cunha told Goiania (as translated by the Daily Mail.) We missed it yesterday, but July 4, 2011, represented Victory Motorcycles’ 13th birthday!

Founded on July 4, 1998, the Polaris Industries-owned Victory Motorcycles has carved out its niche in the American motorcycle market with its line of cruisers and touring bikes.

To celebrate its birthday, Victory released a video (look for it after the jump) featuring a test of its anti-lock brake system on a variety of surfaces.

We love Colin Edwards. Okay, not like that kind of love, but more the “I want to go on a Man-cation with him” kind of way. The man is flat out funny, a guarantee Grade A quote at press conferences and, as he showed in his unexpected podium finish at this year’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone, he’s still fast.

In the Texas Tornado’s latest caper, the two-time World Superbike Champion stars in a Yamaha-produced video where he puts two agents of the Yamaha Extended Service (Y.E.S.) team through basic training.

The video (catch it below, after the jump) was made to promote a new contest from Yamaha, the “Just Say Y.E.S.” Sweepstakes which will give away  a new 2011 Yamaha Zuma 125 scooter and a $1,000 gift card.

Edwards is funny as ever in this video (or as he would say, funny as $#!+). Keep an eye out for a pair of Stars and Stripes track pants, a Shake Weight and Dani Pedrosa’s private dressing room.

When you were a youngster did you ever go on the carousel at your local park and see how fast your friends could spin you around? Well, a group of German teenagers have you beat.

Wanting to kick things up a notch, our heroes thought it would be great fun to use a scooter to really get the carousel spinning. What’s strange is they were smart enough to come up with the idea and even execute it – the carousel does indeed spin damn fast – but didn’t quite consider what would happen to the folks who were going for a ride.

As you might expect, the results are awesome…at least for the two million or so people who have seen the video.

Yamaha Motor Europe has recently posted up on YouTube a delightful video about their riders.  Their secret for being so good at what they do is that they totally immerse themselves in Yamaha by working at the Yamaha offices.

Hilarity ensues.

James Toseland works the mail room, while Colin Edwards does security, quoting Eric Cartman from a 10 year-old-South Park episode.  Jorge Lorenzo is washing windows and Valentino Rossi is working the front desk.

Check the rest of the article for the full video.  It’ll brighten your day.

UPDATE: Poor sti2gsxr has made it on to the Comedy Central website.

I’m shaking my head right now but I’m also thinking “Kudos, NOS, for making your energy drink so convincing that someone thought you actually use it as a fuel additive”.

Poor poor sti2gsxr over on the Gixxer.com boards posted:

My bike was running like crap on my way home from work so I stopped at a gas station to get some NOS. I poured in 2 bottles and rode it home. Well I don’t think it helped because it ran even worse on the way home and now it won’t start. Any ideas?

When shown pics of actual NOS performance enhancer and NOS energy drink, our dear friend sti2gsxr replied:

are you f@#king kidding me! now what do I do?

His post was followed up by 900+ forum members posting to make fun of him and almost 300,000 people just watching and laughing.

An Epic Fail, if I do say so myself.

Head over there to have a laugh, or better yet, SIGN UP and show sti2gsxr some love!

See the rest of the post for a collection of pics and a keyboard cat video dedicated to sti2gsxr and his NOS energy drink additive.
