The 70th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota featured a variety of different acts but none were more surprising when Pee-Wee Herman was announced and added to the bill.  Like always, somehow Pee-Wee seems to win the crowd over no matter who that crowd is, his presence at Sturgis this year was no exception.

Check out Pee-Wee’s big adventure at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally after the jump.

The Worldwide Motorcycle Awareness Ride will take place this Sunday, May 23rd across North America.  John Fox (better you don’t know his name, trust me!), organizer of the Phoenix Motorcycle Riders Group, has produced an impact-full video that advises drivers to keep your eyes open and pay attention to motorcyclists while driving.

friday_the_13th_port_doverAfter suffering through a summer of mostly mediocre weather, attendees of the Friday the 13th Bike gathering in Port Dover, Ontario this past weekend were treated to unseasonably pleasant temperatures. The event proved to be a huge hit as organizers estimate about 15,000 people flooded the streets for this surprisingly warm November rally.

The 2009 LA Calender Show was recently held in Southern California, marking it’s 20th year anniversary.  And what would a show celebrating babes and motorcycles be without babes and motorcycles?

Motorcycle.com’s Alfonse Palaima was there taking a boat-load of pictures, many of them featuring babes in bikinis (you lucky dog, you).

We’ve gathered a few motorcycle babe pics for your viewing pleasure, to help you get through Tuesday.

See the rest of the post for thumbnails.  Also check out the very large gallery over at Motorcycle.com for even MORE motorcycle girls and the crazy looking motorcycles that appeared at this event.  Don’t forget to check out Fonz’s 2009 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Weekend write-up!

Harley-Davidson is rallying its troops for their second annual H.O.G. Million Mile Monday.  The Million Mile Monday is a day when all Harley-Davidson H.O.G. riders go out and ride, recording how far they rode that day on Harley’s H.O.G. membership site.

The goal last year was to accumulate a million miles from all their rider’s rides put together.  They smashed this goal with 3 million miles!  That’s a lot of road traveled!

The goal this year has been raised to 5 million miles to push Harley members to get out there and ride even more.  Million Mile Monday is on Monday June 29th this year so plan your rides now!

H.O.G. is the “Harley Owners Group” organized by Harley-Davidson themselves.  They organize rides and events, I guess like a social club.  There is a membership cost but I don’t think you need to sign-up for the full membership to record your miles for the Million Mile Monday.

I think you can just create a profile.

If you are interested in becoming a H.O.G. member, head over to the H.O.G. site to learn more.  Check out the rest of the post for HD’s promo video for the Million Mile Monday.

Harley-Davidson gathered 11 of today’s most relevant and exciting artists to present their take on the theme of rebellion.

Because the event was so popular, The Art of Rebellion one-night only event quickly became a month long showing. Artwork was for sale and the proceeds were donated to Art Matters, a foundation that assists socially and aesthetically groundbreaking artists.

International Female Ride Day is May 1 and organizers are seeing a groundswell of participation with more women riders and more countries participating than expected. Women motorcycle clubs from all over the United States and Canada are getting together to ride and show their support for women motorcyclists. The “female ride day” fever is spreading all over the world as women riders events are now planned in Israel, Australia, France, Poland, and Italy.

-Women Riders Now

Wow!  It’s great to see International Female Ride Day taking over the globe tomorrow.  You can see the long list of women’s motorcycle clubs here.

International Female Ride Day was started up by Vicki Gray to build awareness of female riders everywhere.  To participate, just simply ride your motorcycle that day.  Take a picture of yourself and send it in to Motoress.

The event shines a spotlight on women motorcyclists—it’s a day for women, of women, everywhere. A day emphasizing the many numbers of female’s who ride motorcycles; supporting their diversities, ageless, limitless abilities and the enjoyment embraced for the activity.

So women riders everywhere, get out there tomorrow and ride!

The second annual auction in Dubai for Cinema Against AIDS on Friday raised $1.8 million for the cause. An abundance of Hollywood stars made it out to support or chair the event, including, Goldie Hawn, Salma Hayek, Oliver Stone, Laura Linney and Sharon Stone, to name a few. The highest selling item of the night went to the “Terminator Salvation” premiere package which contained tickets to the premiere as well as the “Moto-Terminator” from the movie. The price? $140,000.

Victor Kubicek from the company that produced the latest Terminator installment was obviously pleased but also exclaimed you would have to be a stunt-man to actually drive it. One should however keep in mind that “practical” is a concept that does not exist in Dubai.
