Thirty-two years after his death, Steve McQueen still reigns as the coolest movie star to ever ride a motorcycle. One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.

Famous auction house Bonhams recently announced the addition of customized Harleys belonging to Matt Sorum, most recognized as the drummer for Gun N’ Roses, and from the lead singer of Godsmack, Sully Erna, as new lots in the upcoming Classic California Sale on November 12 at Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Calif.

This uber rare 1954 AJS E95, aka The Porcupine, may become the most expensive motorcycle in the world.

World-famous auction house, Bonhams, has recently announced that it will handle auctioning of an ultra-rare 1954 AJS E95 during the Pebble Beach Car Week held annually in August at the Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. Bonhams estimates that due to the rarity of the E95 (only four were completed by British brand AJS) it may see a bid as high as $750,000.

According to Hannah Elliott’s blog entry on Forbes.com, a 1915 Cyclone board track racer holds the current record price paid for a two-wheeler with its 2008 sale ringing in $520,000.
