Alpinestars has introduced a new race suit for motorcyclists tired of being called “organ donors” by non-riders.
The new Anatomy suit was designed by London-based David Gwyther of Death Spray Custom. Inspired by AMA racing legend David Aldana‘s skeleton suit, the black cow and kangaroo leather suit features an eye-catching graphic of a human being’s internal organs. Further adding to the theme is the red internal mesh liner.
“Human anatomy is a theme I have much fascination with and is something I’ve often visited in previous works. Called the “Always Ride Free” Global Travel Luggage Giveaway, Alpinestars is filling one of its XL Excursion roller bags full of stuff motorcyclists might like, then giving it away in a sweepstakes. A second giveaway will go to a friend of the winner. Alpinestars says the bag will get stuffed with “thousands of dollars worth” of essential items necessary to complete an epic ride. The bag alone has a retail value of $249.
Alpinestars’ Tech Air suit has been included in “Popular Science” magazine’s Best of What’s New list for its coming December 2011 issue.
The MotoGP-derived wireless airbag-equipped racing suit was one of eight products named in the annual award’s “Recreation” category for its safety features.
The Tech Air suit tracks the wearer’s body movements. When the sensors pick up an unusual movement indicating an impending crash, it triggers two nitrogen-based gas canisters in the suit which inflates two airbags protecting the rider’s shoulders and collarbone.

Normally priced at $389.99, the Alpinestars Halo jacket is available on DriverDeals.com for $169.95, but only until April 12, 2011.
