Friday Forum Foraging: Too Good To Be True Yamaha R6

Scam or steal? You decide.

You know what they say: If it's too good to be true, it probably is. That's seemingly what we have here with this 2017 Yamaha R6, sourced from Motorcycle.com's own free(!) classifieds section. With only 3900 miles, this R6 is mostly stock with a few minor upgrades. It has a clean title, has never been dropped, and appears to be nicely maintained and cared after.

The kicker? The seller is only asking for $5,400. He/she says they don't ride much anymore and are trying to get rid of the bike quickly. A price this low is certainly one way to do it, but this price seems abnormally low for a bike this young and in the shape it's in.

Nonetheless, we've copied the listing below, but if you want to see for yourself if this is the real deal, click here to go to the ad and contact the seller using the contact form at the bottom.

I saw this listing on facebook marketplace and i emailed the lady “Dernie Laura” she told me she’s getting rid of it because her husband cheated on her and it was under her name but he paid for it. $1000 seemed way too good to be true. SCAM
