Honda unveiled its new CRF450 Rally which will be available Oct. 13 at the 2013 Morocco Rally. The CRF450 Rally will then become available to other rally racing teams for 2014.

The Japanese manufacturer returned to the Dakar Rally earlier this year, with HRC racers on a prototype of the CRF450 Rally based on the CRF450X commercial model. Helder Rodrigues finished seventh overall for Honda, with teammate Javier Pizzolito just behind him in eighth.

Data gathered in the 2013 competition was used to further refine the CRF450 Rally, resulting in updates to engine output, aerodynamics, durability and maintenance requirements.

Rodrigues and Pizzolito will be joined at the Morocco Rally by Sam Sunderland, Joan Barreda and Paulo Goncalves on the Team HRC factory squad. The same five riders will return to compete again for Honda at the 2014 Dakar Rally in January.
