Arlen Ness Birthday Bash Tonight at Petersen Automotive Museum in LA; Exhibit Opens Tomorrow
Few in custom motorcycle building have had a more prolific and respected career than Arlen Ness, and tonight the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California will honor the man and his creations.
The Arlen Ness Birthday Bash will include cocktails and dinner in celebration of Ness along with a preview of the exhibition Arlen Ness: Art On Two Wheels. Friends of Arlen Ness will speak to honor the legend, who will also answer questions from the audience. Tickets are $95.
On Saturday, Arlen Ness: Art On Two Wheels opens with a V-Twin Cruise-In from 9 a.m. to noon. Anyone who rides a motorcycle to the museum will receive free parking and two-for-one admission to the museum. Arlen Ness will be signing autographs at 11 am.
Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels, which runs through Sept. 8, 2013, will feature motorcycles built by Arlen Ness that embody a style and spirit of two wheels. Alongside Arlen’s bikes will be others built by his son Cory and grandson Zach — three generations of the Ness family who have crafted some of the most stunning and trendsetting custom motorcycles to grace the highway.
If you’re in or near Los Angeles and would like tickets to the Birthday Bash or info on the V-Twin Cruise-In, visit the Petersen Automotive Museum web site or call (323) 964-6370.
