The annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este usually features some of the world’s most beautiful classic cars, but this year’s show had a special exhibit celebrating the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad. More than 6,000 people visited the BMW Group-organized Concorso d’Eleganza on the shore of Italy’s Lake Como.

The BMW Motorrad exhibit featured some of the company’s most notable motorcycles spanning 90 years of history including the original BMW R32 that started it all in 1923.

The newest motorcycle in the collection is the BMW Concept Ninety, a special one-off concept based on the BMW R90S designed in collaboration with Roland Sands Design.

For the third time in the event’s history, the Concorso d’Eleganza competition included a class for motorcycles with 35 entries. The Best in Show award went to a 1948 IMZ-Ural M-35, a 350cc boxer-engined motorcycle made in Russia based on BMW technology.
