Remember Kyle Katsandris? Of course you do; he’s the guy who jumped his Kawasaki KX450 over the 60 freeway in Los Angeles not too long ago, causing a buzz all over social media and the internet as a whole (and also sparked an investigation by the California Highway Patrol). Well, it appears that his internet fame has caught up with him, as his latest stunt didn’t go so well.

Kyle Katsandris is quickly becoming an internet sensation after posting the video below. What’s so special about the it? Oh nothing – just the fact that Katsandris jumped across a California freeway in broad daylight. To save you the suspense, yes, he landed successfully and no, nobody was harmed in the process. In fact, we wonder how many car drivers below, droning along on the empty freeway, even noticed the second or two there was a man flying over them on a dirt bike.

What do you get when you combine the budget and might of Red Bull, MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, his Honda RC213V, and a ski slope? The title says it all. You get one of the most talented motorcycle pilots on the planet piloting a 260 hp beast through the snow and up one of the toughest slopes in the World Cup of skiing.

Almost exactly two years ago, we posted a Weekend Awesome video of Cody Elkins jumping a bike over an airplane. As great as that stunt was, there’s always room for improvement. Like, say, adding a tight rope walker. Or rather, a highliner, to be specific.

Chainsaw Productions recently shot a series of videos at Laguna Seca featuring Magura-sponsored riders Aaron Colton and Danny MacAskill. For this week’s video, we present AJ Heinicke, a 7-year-old stunt rider from San Mateo, CA. Heinicke, who performs under the name AJ Stuntz, has been learning from stunt rider Jason Pullen‘s team.

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re big fans of ice racing motorcycles here on MO. For this week’s video, we offer stunt rider Lee Stuart from Winnipeg, Canada, drifting his Harley-Davidson Dyna on ice and snow.

Rafal Pasierbek (a.k.a. Stunter13) has been stunt riding for a decade now, winning a Polish freestyle championship in his first try in 2005. Things can go wrong for even the most seasoned stunt riders, but Stunter13’s experience and agility helped him make this save after his bike got away from him.

While concocting my What’s A Motorcycle Daredevil? editorial, it became apparent that not only do daredevils share a taste for jumping motorcycles, but also for the things they jump their motorcycles over. Taking a second look at these obstacles, from the mundane to the extraordinary, popular to obscure, I composed a list of the best and the most esoteric (worst?) objects daredevils choose to jump.

Today, in what has become an anticipated annual event,  Yamaha and  Star Touring and Riding Association joined with current and past Yamaha racers to give to  Feed the Children and honor Yamaha’s Champions. For the 8th year in a row, Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A. presented Feed the Children with a check for funds raised by the company’s employees and various events throughout the year. Additionally, Yamaha Racing honored 11 current and former racers for the championships they won for the marque. The event had a little bit of everything for all motorcycle fans: a charity ride, an awards ceremony, a stunt show by Yamaha sponsored rider, Bill Dixon, and free food. What could be better?

Trying to change your front tire but don’t have a stand to lift your bike? No problem! All you need are the proper tools, a truck, and a friend who’s really good at performing wheelies.

Remember that classic Michael Jordan vs. Larry Bird McDonald’s commercial where the two basketball legends trade trick shots to win a Big Mac? Well Icon‘s created a motorcycle-themed version featuring stunt riders Julien Welsch and Guillaume “Guy Guy” Gleyo trying to one-up each other.

How do you make an awesome stunt look even more awesome? By playing it in super slow motion! Not that this week’s video of Cody Elkins jumping over a plane needs the help.

Most days, there are more than 2000 ads for motorcycles on the San Francisco-area Craigslist and probably a similarly large number advertised near any major population center. The odds of any one of these ads attracting much attention are pretty small. But when a certain for-sale ad appeared on the Sacramento list, it was different – very different.
