EICMA 2019: Milan Motorcycle Show Coverage

Hooray! November has arrived, and after relentless teasing ( here and here) from some manufacturers, we’re ready to see what Model Year 2020 has in store for us. The Tokyo Motor Show had some early entries from Kawasaki, the biggest of which was the 2020 Kawasaki Z H2. Then Ducati stepped up with its own early announcements about the updated Panigale V4 family and the new Panigale V2, plus the beastly Ducati Streetfighter V4 and V4 S. So, you could say that we’re all warmed up and ready to hit the road.

2019 Vespa Elettrica Review - First Ride

The Electric Wasp. We were turned loose, a silent swarm of nocuous moto-journos descending upon the city, sneaking up on the unsuspecting fashion-forward folk of Milan, only to be seen as a flash of silver and blue as we sped by. An exaggeration? Possibly, but nevertheless, we were there to test Vespa’s 2019 Elettrica, and we wouldn’t stop until we had fully exhausted the scooter’s battery and our fellow commuter’s patience.

EICMA 2018: Milan Motorcycle Show Coverage

The Model Year 2019 show season is fully underway, and so far, we’ve seen some exciting news. It began in Intermot with the unveiling of new models from Aprilia, Ducati, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, and Triumph. Designer Tom Dixon And Customizer Stefano Venier Team Up On Moto Guzzi Custom

Apparently famed UK furniture and lighting designer, Tom Dixon, is an avid motorcyclist and a long-term Moto Guzzi owner. In fact, in an interview with Dezeen he credits his desire to work on his own motorcycles as the impetus for learning to weld – a skill that launched his career creating things with metal.

2016 EICMA Show Coverage

It’s that time of year again: New Bike Season. We’ve already gotten a taste of what’s to come in 2017 thanks to the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, and AIMExpo in Orlando last month, but when we really want to drool over what awaits us in 2017, EICMA is the show to pay attention to. No less than 30 companies will be making big announcements over the course of the three days that span Nov. 7-9, and our man Evans Brasfield will be on the ground in Milan covering the action as it happens.
