Hope you got your February blahs out of your system, as we get closer and closer to spring and the start of the riding season. To help you on your way, we’ve got another giveaway. This time, we’ve partnered with GoPro to give one lucky entrant a HERO12 Black action camera.

Motorcyclists love to tell stories about things that happened while they were riding. Having video evidence to back it up makes the stories even more fun. Who would believe you if you said that, as you were hard on the brakes from 160+ mph into Turn 2 at Laguna Seca, a ground squirrel ran across the track in front of you and the $100,000 Ducati Superleggera you were piloting? Well, Troy was able to document Mister Squizzles’ near-fatal dash, thanks to his helmet cam, and put an end to our disbelief. (See the proof here.)

The whole point of an action camera is to put the viewer in your seat. In our case, it’s to bring the viewer along for a ride with us and to see all the things we see in the moment. From close passes to stunning scenery, recording your ride allows you to relive those special moments over and over again. Not to mention it gives you proof when your friends say video or it didn’t happen.

Picture it: you’re having the motorcycle adventure of a lifetime; you’re somewhere new, traveling down roads and paths you’ve never seen before, and just around every bend is a view more picturesque than the last. The scenery is gorgeous, the roads (or trails) are twisty, and you and your motorcycle are one. By all accounts, this ride qualifies as epic. There’s just one problem: you haven’t documented any of it. Once the ride is over, you’ll only have memories to refer back to, save for the few shots you took on your cell phone camera.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two decades, the name Valentino Rossi should be a household name to motorcyclists worldwide. So beloved is “The Doctor” that the joke is Valentino is the hometown favorite at every race on the calendar. The truth is Rossi hails from a small town in Italy called Tavullia – a stone’s throw away from the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Rossi has single-handedly put Tavullia on the map and still calls the place home. If ever someone could be labeled a hometown hero, Rossi is it. In this video, we get a taste of just what the nine-time champion means to Tavullia and how much the locals cherish him.
