While it seems like such a small task, we often fail to forget that explaining things like a twist throttle and “balance” can be a lot for a first timer to grasp. Clearly this guy was struggling with the concept. “Just accelerate” evidently wasn’t good enough advice.

Give a guy a bunch of random dirtbike parts, mix in a little creativity, and sprinkle with some southern-fried ingenuity, and his motorcycle might look a lot like this. No, this isn’t something out of a new Mad Max movie, and, yes, it actually runs. Surprisingly well, in fact. The two-stroke exhaust stack is probably our favorite part, although the bike’s skid plate is also quite amusing.

As near as we can tell, this guy must have thought he was going over backwards and tapped the rear break to bring the nose down.  It worked!  His passenger will probably make him ride on the bars the next time.

Trials riders are some of the most talented motorcycle riders on the planet.  The way they can maneuver and finesse their machines is truly amazing.  This guy in particular doesn’t know his own strength.  Either that or his hands just aren’t as strong as his arms.

The best way to solve all these problems is to just ride by yourself, old numero uno. But no man is an island, and group rides are their own special kind of fun. At MO, we definitely do our fair share of group rides. Here’s what we’ve learned about the things most likely to go wrong, and what you can do to ward them off ahead of time.
