Thursday’s media day at AIMExpo was an all-day indoor marathon of product and model announcements. We scrambled to bring you the news in text, photo and video formats as quickly as we could. Our 2015 AIMExpo – Live Updates From Orlando posts included news from Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Zero, as well as Bell, Schuberth, Sena and Shoei. The end of last week, my coworker, Tom Roderick, spent a few days inside the motorcycle industry candy store, and I was a little envious. Although sending Tom was a wise choice by EiC Duke – Tom’s got a much better camera presence than I do – I wished I were the one winging across the continent to Orlando and the 2015 AIMExpo. This is where the dealers go to learn of new motorcycle-related products and possibly order some for next year. Think about it: Over 600 vendors in one place – all catering to the motorcycle industry – and all with something new to show off. Then toss in the dealers from around the country looking for products to sell their customers back home. On the final days, the fortunate local public has, in recent years, gotten to join in on the fun, but despite this development, these shows are firmly directed at the moto-industry as a whole.

It’s time once again for AIMExpo in Orlando, Fla. We’ve got the latest announcements right here on MO including on-the-scene video reporting by Tom Roderick and ace shooter Chris Blanchette from the Orange County Convention Center.

There’s a lot to be excited about in 2015. Germany’s Intermot motorcycle show was first to burst forth new or significantly revised models, about 20 of ‘em. Next up, we attended the second year of the AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida, where we saw five new or revised bikes plus several of the ones shown at Intermot.

In August, we reported on a CARB executive order on a new scooter from Yamaha we suspected would compete with the Honda PCX150. Today at the AIMExpo, Yamaha unveiled to the U.S. market the SMAX sport scooter.

The second annual AIMExpo is here, and Motorcycle.com is live in Orlando to bring you the latest news from America’s newest motorcycle show. The 2014 AIMExpo kicks off with two full media days Oct. 16-17 before opening its doors to the public Oct. 18-19.

America’s newest motorcycle show, AIMExpo, has opened its doors at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Offering more than 300 vendors and manufacturers such as Erik Buell Racing, Suzuki, and Yamaha, the American International Motorcycle Expo is striving to become the industry’s largest show in North America, taking on established events such as the touring International Motorcycle Shows and the struggling Dealer Expo. Motorcycle.com has a booth at the show while Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke and our video crew are reporting on location with the hottest new products being introduced at AIMExpo.
