See David Monaghan have the save of the year (so far) on his 2017 BMW S1000RR in the skidmark inducing clip. David goes for a pass at 105 MPH when a car neglects to check its mirrors at the legendary Nurburgring, sending David and his cantaloupe sized jewels off road, narrowly avoiding the guard rails. Good save David, and be safe out there!
The event begins at 7:25.

The fault is both rider and driver really. The car driver should have been more aware of what was behind and the biker should have anticipated that possibility.
What worries me more is bikers proclaiming that mix of vehicles shouldn't be allowed. Hey, if it scares you, don't do it. But riding/driving the Nurburgring brings a huge amount of pleasure to so many people and trying to segregate different vehicle types would massively reduce the available track time for all concerned.
I've ridden the Nurburgring and yes, a hot hatchback on 2 wheels around each corner is hard to pass, even on a litre sportsbike and yes, you need to keep a look in your mirrors as there are some very fast people out there (even in hot hatchbacks) and yes, it is kinda scary. But should it be banned, no of course not. It's your choice of whether you want to do it yourself or not. Just don't try and prevent others from doing it. It's their choice and trying to prevent others from partaking in what they enjoy is the exact same attitude that now prevents us from riding bikes where and how we want. Look at all the off-road trails we're no longer allowed to ride. Why, because others decided they didn't like it and got it banned.
We should be more tolerant of what others want to do (even if we don't want to do it ourselves) - provided it doesn't involve hurting others of course.
WOW!... the Thumbs at at the end made the video lol!!! Amazing save and luck! SKILL.
