Friday Forum Foraging: A Pristine 2004 Honda Valkyrie Rune
You'd never guess this Rune has 46,000 miles on it.
It's sad it had to come to this, but what you see here is a prime example of a 2004 Honda Valkyrie Rune. Judging by the pictures, we wouldn't blame you if you guessed this bike spent most of its 19 years in a garage.
But you'd be wrong.
The previous, and so far only, owner put 46,593 miles on this bike and clearly kept meticulous care of it. Unfortunately, this owner is no longer with us and their bike has come up on our sister site RuneRiders.com as being available via estate sale. The Rune was, and still is, a polarizing bike. That's why whenever a nice one like this (and sometimes not-so-nice ones) pop up, we can't help but feature it in this space. As you can read in the description below, this Rune has a new battery and rear tire, and was very well maintained. Included with the sale are a lift, a letter from Honda, and some OEM parts. Whether or not you believe $15,500 is a fair price, we can't help but think the dearly departed owner would love for their bike to continue down the road for at least another 46,000 miles.

A one owner red Honda Rune in excellent condition. Highlights is a new Yuasaa battery and Dunlap back tire. Upgrades include chrome covers over the brake pads and a rear wheel cap with the Rune insignia. Garage kept, washed only with distilled water and wiped down after each ride. All original parts are in factory condition, with 46593 miles. Also a rare find is the table top book and a congratulatory letter letter from Honda for the purchase of such a unique bike. Included with this sale is the yellow lift adapter, master hoist lift with new jack, Valkyrie adapter, service manual and a selection of OEM Honda parts. It was owned by a very proud meticulous motorcyclist enthusiast. Estate sale.
