IXS Introduces Its Latest Touring Jacket

Pacora is a small town in Panama, located at the narrowest part of the land bridge in Central America. The Carretera Panamericana goes through the middle of Pacora. The longest road in the world connects Alaska to Tierra del Fuego and stretches for a length of 25,750 km over the entire north-south length of the American continent. The Panamericana passes through all types of climate zone, both dense jungle as well as high mountain passes. It also crosses 17 different countries. The temperatures range from a hot 45° C to -30° C by Bolivia’s salt lakes.

The name «Tour Jacket Pacora-ST» did not come about by chance because this jacket is an all-rounder and a loyal companion every day. It’s in its element when the weather is changeable. The legendary Panamericana with a very wide range of weather conditions is precisely the right playground for this jacket. It’s extremely abrasion-resistant with its high-tech outer material made of Tactel® and just as packed with lots of functions & comfort. The «Perfect Fit» concept of iXS has really become a reality with the ergonomic fit.

If it rains, the solto-TEX® 2-layer Z-liner membrane makes it pleasant to wear and provides full weather protection – wind-proof, waterproof, breathable. It keeps the rider warm and dry. If temperatures rise, the thermal lining can be removed very easily. The jacket is also equipped with six easy to use ventilation zones. The innovative system provides efficient cooling and prevents any potentially tiring heat developing. The breathable net lining and a back protector pocket in 3D-mesh fabric improve the removal of moisture to the outside and optimise the body’s feeling of well-being.

Globetrotters appreciate the large storage volume with seven external pockets and two inside pockets in the fixed net lining and two Napoleon pockets. With its many adjustment options, the jacket can be adapted to any situation at any time, depending on how many layers you are wearing underneath. As far as safety is concerned, the Tour Jacket Pacora-ST does not accept any compromises: The best possible impact protection is provided by the light back, shoulder and elbow protectors (all Level 2), which are certified to the highest CE safety standards. Thanks to the reflective transfer prints, you will be seen at an early stage by other road users.

The circumferential connecting zip creates a secure connection to the trousers for ultimate flexibility in use and maximum comfort. Perfectly matching the jacket and with identical characteristics, the Tour Pants Puerto-ST are available in a total of 29 sizes. The Tour Women’s Jacket Pacora-ST is the equivalent for women. It has a special ladies cut and is available in different colours, including a trendy black-purple. It’s logical that matching trousers are also available for women.
