VANDERHALL MOTOR WORKS DEBUTS NEW SPEEDSTER MODEL AT 2018 STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY

One-Seat Three-Wheeler Roadster Fun Beginning At $26,950

Vanderhall Motor Works, the boutique American manufacturer of the popular three-wheel autocycles, is debuting its new Venice Speedster model during the 2018 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. With a limited production, the Speedster is created for extending solo touring. Its sleek and refined styling exudes yesteryear motoring gloriousness with modern motoring excitement.

“The Sturgis Rally is the ideal venue for us to publicly unveil the 2019 Speedster,” says Vanderhall Marketing Director Daniel Boyer. “As an All-American company based in Utah, Vanderhall was enthusiastically embraced by Sturgis participants last year. Enthusiasts who love in-the-wind Americana appreciate Vanderhall’s three-wheel advantages of increased stability and safety compared to two-wheeled motorcycles. Our new Speedster model will expand our line to five models by year’s end, and we’re excited to debut it at Sturgis.”

Sturgis attendees can see the Speedster at the Vanderhall pop-up display at 2118 Lazelle St., where participating dealer Coastal Indian Motorcycle of Myrtle Beach will also offer sales of 2018 Vanderhall Venice autocycles. A second location for Vanderhall Venice demos and sales will be at 1721 Lazelle St.throughout the 2018 Sturgis Rally.

Based on the popular Vanderhall Venice platform, the 2019 Venice Speedster deletes the Venice’s passenger seat, hoop, and hump. This optimizes solo touring and prices the Speedster at a base of $26,950. Limited in production, all Vanderhall Venice Speedsters are Silver Vintage Metallic with optional black rally stripes. The Speedster is also characterized by a low-profile windshield, an enlarged rear deck hump, and bespoke 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior features Saxony Brown upholstery. A tonneau cover is standard on all Vanderhall Speedsters.

The Vanderhall Venice Speedster shares mechanicals and general specs with the existing Venice model. Its powertrain is the 180-HP GM 1.4L turbocharged LUV four-cylinder engine mated to a sequentially manually shiftable GM 6-speed transmission. Other GM-sourced components include an electronically assisted rack-and-pinion steering system and front suspension knuckles.

The Vanderhall platform is a patented tab-and-slot aluminum monocoque chassis, engineered and manufactured in-house. The Vanderhall-designed suspension incorporates coilover shocks. The front suspension uses a cantilevered pushrod design, and the rear is a single-sided swingarm. Optional large Brembo disc brakes provide vertebrae-compressing stopping power.

Assembled in the USA using almost all American-sourced components, the 2019 Vanderhall Speedster will join the all-electric 2019 Edison2 model alongside the popular Venice in dealerships forth quarter this year.
