REV’IT! ANNOUNCES NEW MEMBERS TO THE 2018 US WOMEN’S ADVENTURE TEAM

Following a successful inaugural year in 2017, the REV’IT! USA Women’s Team welcomes two new members to the fold in 2018: Jenna West and Anna Baklund will join existing members Erika Bean, Louise Coleen Powers and Amelia Kamrad for the 2018 season as the REV’IT! US Women’s Adventure Team.

The two new members have been chosen based on a combination of passion, leadership, riding ability and their embodiment of the “REV’IT! spirit”— one that aims to inspire others to ride. The team’s collective riding résumé encompasses tens of thousands of miles through more than a dozen countries worldwide and over various terrain.

The group was founded as a way to spotlight the growing contributions by women to the adventure riding segment. The team will represent the brand individually at adventure events, rallies, trainings and dealer nights across the country, coming together for one main team event in the summer. In addition to amplifying the presence of the brand at on-site events, the five female ambassadors will also field-test gear, providing invaluable product feedback directly to REV’IT! designers located in Oss, The Netherlands.

“We are so proud of these women and the roles they have played in shaping the ‘new look’ of adventure motorcycling. They—and many others—have paved the way for more inclusivity and diversity in the motorcycle industry, and we at REV’IT! look forward to the future they are helping to create,” says Tracy Motz, Sr. Brand Manager at REV’IT! USA.

JENNA WEST
@jensmotoadventures started riding in 2012. After touring the country a few times on a Yamaha FZ6R, Jenna decided to trade it in for an adventure bike in February of 2016. And she never looked back. She has since ridden it on multiple trips across the US and Canada, leaving the pavement every chance she can get.

In addition to adventure riding, she also has a passion for restoring and riding vintage Honda motorcycles. Jenna lives in Indiana and currently rides a Triumph Tiger 800 named Tora.

ANNA BAKLUND
@annabaklund fell in love with ADV riding in 2015 after jumping on the back of a Husqvarna TR650. She bought her first dualsport less than a month later- a Suzuki DR200 – and she presently rides a KTM 690 Enduro R.

Anna has a passion for gravel roads, trails and moto-camping. Now entrenched in the ADV community, you’ll find her at events, rallies and off the beaten path across the Western U.S. and Canada. Anna is currently based out of Oregon.

ERIKA TANGO BEAN
@bmwmotorcyclegirl began riding at age eight but made the transition to adventure bikes in 2012. Her favorite part about her GS is being able to carry everything she needs for camping, cooking and sight-seeing along the way. Having travelled to eight countries on two wheels, she feels that the sights, smells and intimacy of being on a motorcycle changes a trip into an adventure. Erika currently rides Betty, a bumblebee-yellow BMW F650 GS and lives in Arizona.

LOUISE COLEEN POWERS
@aGirlOnAMotorbike began her riding career six years ago with an 8,200-mile trip to Alaska. Last August, she headed south to ride to the southern tip of South America on her BMW F700GS. Finishing this adventure in June, she will return to Colorado to continue coaching off-road adventure riding with West 38 Moto and sharing her passion with other female riders. Find stories of her Central and South American adventures on her blog, Girl On A Motorbike.

AMELIA KAMRAD
@millieonthemove learned to ride in 2008 on a 1974 Honda CB550 barn rescue, and discovered a love for the ADV community in late 2013. Hooked since her first go atop dirt roads and trails, she has since become a regular fixture at ADV and Dual Sport events and off-road trainings all along the East Coast. Amelia contributes to ADVMoto magazine and participates in NASA Rally races. Amelia currently rides a Husaberg 390 and is based out of New Jersey.
