With less than expected performance and results from Andrea Iannone as Team Suzuki Ecstar’s lead rider since his debut last year, the Hamamatsu factory is rumored to be interested in luring Jorge Lorenzo from Ducati in 2019.

Lorenzo has also struggled to find his rhythm and provide good results aboard his Ducati Desmosedici, having scored just one point in the opening two races of the season, but Suzuki is convinced that their GSX-RR will be a much better fit for the five-time World Champion. A switch from red to blue would come with a significant pay cut for Lorenzo, but it’s reported that Suzuki is willing to wait.

At this point, this news is only reported to be rumor, but you can read the full story from motorsport.es here.
