Our old/little friend Jimmy Lewis is up to it again in California’s beautifully cardiac-inducing Johnson Valley. This year, Jimmy writes:

This time I think I’ve done it. I made it just tough enough. And in the loosely translated words of Fabrizio Meoni, two-time Dakar winner, “Only one rider should finish the race then die after crossing the finish line!”*

Not really, but I do believe that extreme enduros should be really tough. Hmmm, I wonder if I could make it to the parking area on a big bagger stocked with food and drink to spectate? One man’s floor, Willow Springs Champ Curtis Adams used to counsel me, is another man’s ceiling.
