Riding motorcycles is obviously dangerous, but that’s all part of the fun. Fortunately for the MotoGP guys – who truly tiptoe the line between safety and complete disaster – they have the world’s best doctors to look after them when things go awry as announced today by Forbes.

Begin Press Release:

MotoGP™ Medical Director Doctor Angel Charte and Traumatology Specialist Doctor Xavier Mir have been named two of the best doctors in Spain by Forbes. Both members of MotoGP™ Medical Direction, Doctor Charte is head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Hospital Universitario Quirón Dexeus in Barcelona, where Doctor Mir is head of the Hand and Micro-Surgery Unit in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery.

The hospital forms part of the Quirónsalud group, who were officially named MotoGP™ Medical Direction just ahead of the 2017 Catalan GP – strengthening the relationship between the two parties that began 2013. MotoGP™ has since benefitted from Medical Direction from both Doctor Angel Charte and Doctor Xavier Mir as well as key team member Doctor Enric Caceres, MotoGP™ Spinal Specialist, who is a member of the Spinal Unit at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery at the same Hospital Universitario Quirón Dexeus.
