Kawasaki Recall: Improper ECU Setting may cause Engine Stall

An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Summary: Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (Kawasaki) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Z125 PRO & PRO KRT Edition motorcycles, models BR125JHF and BR125JJF. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may have an improper setting for the fuel injection, allowing the engine to stall.

Remedy: Kawasaki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ECU, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Kawasaki customer service at 1-866-802-9381.
