At the height of the custom chopper craze, Orange County Choppers and familia Teutul erected this grand 100,000-square foot edifice at a cost of around $11 million in Newburgh, New York. Now, according to this report in the Times Record-Herald Online, the tax assessor has cut the building’s assessment by nearly 50%, which seems less than generous given that its most recent sale price was $2.4 million when it sold at auction last year.

According to the report, the new owner has entered into a joint venture with Orange County Choppers to manufacture electric go-karts under the American Karting Co. brand. Plans call for a an estimated 35 more arcade games, a 4,560-square-foot laser tag area and an eight-driver go-kart track in the basement, where there are currently parking spaces.
