Doors Set to Open for AIMExpo Presented by Nationwide Debut at Greater Columbus Convention Center This Thursday

500 Exhibitors to Showcase the Latest and Greatest from Powersports Industry

COLUMBUS, Ohio (September 20, 2017) – After nearly a year of anticipation, the landmark fifth year of the American International Motorcycle Expo presented by Nationwide ( AIMExpo) is mere hours away from bringing together the motorcycle and greater powersports industry in its debut both inside and outside the Greater Columbus Convention Center. 500 exhibitors from throughout the industry will fill the show floor and AIMExpo Outdoors!, showcasing the latest and greatest products coming to the marketplace. AIMExpo 2017 will kick off on Thursday, September 21, with two trade-only days before opening to the public and carrying through the weekend, culminating on Sunday, September 24.

Festivities will officially commence on Thursday morning, with a program titled “The Future Starts Here” that addresses creating the next generations of riders. The CEO’s of iconic American manufacturers Harley-Davidson and Polaris, Matt Levatich and Scott Wine, respectively, will offer very special keynote addresses exploring the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the industry’s future, while the Motorcycle Industry Council will unveil an initiative that also address this important topic.

Following the opening ceremony, the doors to the show floor inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center will open for the first time to industry and trade attendees. A record number of exhibiting manufacturers, which totals at more than 25, will showcase the newest and most innovative vehicles coming to the greater powersports industry, whether for the road, the dirt, or even the water. The remainder of the nearly 500 exhibitors on the show floor represent all segments of the marketplace, resulting in the most diverse collection of companies and products found anywhere in North America.

Custom Culture powered by BMW Motorcycles will serve as the home base for one of the fastest-growing segments of the powersports industry, showcasing the new custom movement. The annual Championship of the Americas custom builder competition will serve as the centerpiece and will be complemented by theSkidmark Garage Showcase and Lounge, and artisans row, which will feature an array of artists express their passion for motorcycling. Custom Culture ambassador Brittney Olsen of 20th Century Racing will be present throughout, interacting with attendees and celebrating the creative energy.

Several racers and industry celebrities will also be on hand throughout the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Hosted by AIMExpo emcee Greg White, along with spokesperson Arianna Escalante, attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with renowned bike builder and industry personality Jason Paul Michaels, in addition to former MotoAmerica champions Cameron Beaubier, Josh Hayes, and JD Beach, rising motocross star Cooper Webb, and newly crowned American Flat Track Champion Jared Mees.

The fun for attendees extends to AIMExpo Outdoors!, which sits just a short five-minute walk from the show floor and will host nine different manufacturers, each of which will offer a variety of demo rides aboard the newest street vehicles. Legendary performer Chris “Teach” McNeil, BMW’s official freestyle stunt rider, will also entertain attendees with shows throughout the four-day affair. Additionally, MotoAmerica will host an exclusive Food Truck Palooza during the consumer days on Saturday and Sunday.
