The 12th Annual Women’s Sportbike Rally EAST (XII) kicks off on Friday!

We have answered all your questions about the WSR below and even included some information you HAVEN’T asked us about yet. Here’s everything you need to know to get to the rally and have a great time all weekend.

Logistics (food, fuel, etc…) were included in our last newsletter. Make sure to give it a good once over (and take notes) if you haven’t already.

RALLY VETERANS: please note the changes to the schedule and locations that differ from previous years. Screenshot the schedule if you need a reminder during the weekend.

BE YOUR OWN HERO: Do a thorough inspection of your motorcycle before you leave! Check tire tread and pressure, chain tension and wear, sprocket wear, oil level and working electrics and electronics. Inspect your gear! Check armor, zippers, seams, liners, buckles, snaps and Velcro. Clean your visor and backup visor and add a fog free coating if desired.

The forecast is calling for a very limited chance of rain on Friday and Saturday – HOORAY!

Sunday also has a limited chance of rain with Monday possibly seeing effects of Hurricane Irma.

DON’T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN! We are, afterall, donating all our proceeds to the Skin Cancer Foundation in memory of Tiffany “Sportbikegirl” Weirbach. Tiffany lost her life in 2004 to Melanoma, the deadliest of all skin cancers. We’re all about skin safety at WSR!

BRING WARM CLOTHING for our night activities, as the temperature is guaranteed to drop below 55F.

GETTING TO THE RALLY

*FUEL is readily available in Maryville, Tellico Plains and Robbinsville. Fill up before you head up the mountain just to be safe.

*MAPS should be downloaded and available offline BEFORE heading up the mountain. GPS signal and cell service is spotty at best, so don’t get caught unprepared and lost.

Check-in begins at 4pm! Checkout is at 11am.

Parking: There’s plenty of parking at the lodge, cabins and bungalows. If parking at the Lodge, we encourage you to share spots with your fellow riders. It’ll help you meet new people and discourage cars from trying to sneak in next to you. Trailer parking is allowed and can be done in the lodge lot, at your cabin or even in the Oak Suite parking lot.
