BDR Announces ‘Double Your Impact’ July Fundraising Campaign

Seattle, WA – (July 11, 2017) The Backcountry Discovery Routes organization announces it’s summer fundraising campaign that guarantees to double the impact by matching all contributions dollar for dollar.

This means a donation of $100 will result in $200 being invested in the activities of the non-profit organization whose mission is to create one new cross-state route per year for the adventure and dual-sport motorcycles. It also seeks to preserve riding opportunities and access to public lands through cooperation with land managers, and creating sustainable motorcycle tourism in small town communities along the BDR routes.

“Keeping the gas station alive in these tiny towns is a critical element to preserving access to remote backcountry riding areas. Having local communities that rely on motorcycle tourism gives us a bigger voice to keep these remote roads open for exploring on motorcycles.” – Paul Guillien, BDR Board President

Riding areas have been under tremendous threat in recent years and few organizations have delivered success in the way Backcountry Discovery Routes by creating and preserving riding opportunities for adventure motorcycles. The goal of the ‘Double Your Impact’ July fundraising campaign is to raise funds necessary to continue development of the next two BDR projects. If fundraising goals are met, the organization expects to publish the Mid-Atlantic BDR and California BDR-South, in the next two years.

If you want to make a difference and double your impact, go to www.RideBDR.com and make a contribution today. The matching grant was created with private contributions from individuals who attended the organization’s Mojave Desert Ride Fundraiser earlier this year.
