KTM is recalling 2016 and 2017 690 Duke models because of possible fuel leaks. The recall affects 718 units in the U.S.

According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, fuel can seep out from the fuel filler cap area of the tank, creating a fire risk and potential damage or injury.

KTM first became aware of the problem after receiving customer feedback. NHTSA has also received 10 customer complaints reporting fuel leaking from the tank.

As of this writing, KTM is still investigating the issue and has not come up with a remedy. KTM estimates it will take up to 120 days from June 20, when it first initiated recall procedures.
