PICKERINGTON, OH (June 19, 2017) – The Ashland Dinner Ride, an annual tradition that benefits the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, offers motorcyclists a casual, scenic 40-mile cruise from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, to the historic half-mile dirt track in Ashland, Ohio, on July 8.

The ride takes place as part of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki. The three-day vintage motorcycle fest is the largest of its kind in North America.

For a $35 donation to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, participants in the July 8 fundraiser ride to the Ashland County Fairgrounds’ half-mile, have dinner at the track, and then settle into reserved grandstand seats to enjoy the vintage dirt track races. Dinner ride participants also receive a pit pass.

“This is a very relaxed and enjoyable route through the countryside,” said AMA Recreational Riding and Volunteer Manager Marie Wuelleh, who will lead the ride. “We’ll have everyone at the fairgrounds in plenty of time for dinner and conversation before the racing begins.”

Staging for the ride begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, on the False Grid at Mid-Ohio. Riders can make their $35 donation and register for the ride at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame tent in the infield of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

For 2017, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki, will celebrate the riders and machines that have made Kawasaki motorcycles famous for more than five decades in America.
