Historic Motorcycles at Spring Classic, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

For Immediate Release: The California Vintage Racing Club is proud to announce its collaboration with Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to bring Historic Racing Motorcycles to the track’s newest event, the Spring Classic.

Recently Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca announced a new historic racing event entitled the Spring Classic, which will take place May 19-21, 2017. For the first time since 2004 Historic Motorcycles will return to the famed Laguna Seca Raceway. The CVRC, aka California Vintage Racing Club, which once formed the backbone of historic motorcycle road racing & motocross in the USA beginning in 1984, will lend a hand (and its rules) for this event.

The event will center around famous race cars from the premier series of their days such as CanAm, Formula-1 and the original TransAm cars of the 1960/early 70’s. Whereas the cars will be racing, the motorcycles will be an “Exhibition only” event for this year.
The following CVRC classes will participate in re-living some of the famous series and races that ran at Laguna Seca Raceway. A lucky spectator may have the opportunity to see not only some now very famous motorcycles, but the men that rode them as well!

Grand-Prix Machines; Pre-1968 machines divided into displacement of 500cc, 350cc, 250cc,
