BMW Introduces EnduroGuard Waterproof Adventure Suit

BMW is adding a new line of adventure-touring riding gear. The BMW EnduroGuard jackets and pants are available in men’s and women’s cuts and promise a waterproof, abrasion-resistant shell and good, all-around ventilation. EnduroGuard jackets are priced at $949 while the pants come in at $649.

Both the jacket and pant use dynatech and dynatech stretch material with a ceraspace layer from Schoeller Textil AG. Ceraspace material uses small ceramic particles in a polymer matrix, with Schoeller Textil claiming significantly better abrasion resistant than leather. A three-layer laminate with a BMW-designed “Climate Membrane” offers protection against wind and water while still claiming to be very breathable.

BMW’s NP2 protectors are built into the back, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees; a coccyx protector can be retrofitted in.

A matching set of gloves with ceraspace are also available.

One nice touch is the very subtle BMW branding with the largest logo being a one-color badge on the left shoulder, useful for those who ride non-BMW motorcycles and don’t want to look to out of place.

Touring off-road in the elements just got easier thanks to BMW Motorrad’s new EnduroGuard Suit. The EnduroGuard suit is a professional, waterproof adventure suit with a new cut, new material, new colors and new features that satisfy the wish list of men and women seeking maximum functionality, safety and comfort while navigating roads less traveled.

Men’s and women’s jackets, offered in a range of sizes in grey or black (men’s sizes only), are priced at $949. Pants for men and women, offered in a range of waist sizes and inseams in black, are available at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $649.
