Are these guys tough? Slovakian Dakar Rallyist Ivan Jakes was struck by lightning last Thursday in Stage 3 of the Dakar Rally, but finished 15th on the day anyway. Good thing he wasn’t dabbing at the time, or things might’ve been much worse. Since he was on rubber tires and not grounded, he felt a sharp pain and just kept motoring.
Apparently the lighting strike didn’t do Jakes any good though, as he’s no longer listed among the 110 motorcyclists who finished Stage 7.
