Logging all of our activities has become something of an obsession among adventure sports aficionados. Usually, manufacturers create a device specific for each activity. If the company’s Kickstarter campaign is successful, PhiPAL will deliver data logging and emergency notification to any helmet you own – no matter what the activity. Interaction with social media and the PhiPAL website will allow fellow owners the opportunity to share routes and statistical information. More importantly, PhiPAL will feature an emergency notification capability to inform contacts you select, if it detects that you were involved in an accident. Emergency notification can also be manually activated from the device or a smartphone. The PhiPAL Pro will share tracking and emergency information via satellite even while you are off the grid in the remote parts of the world.

No matter what helmet you're wearing, PhiPAL will gather data and inform your contacts in case of an accident.

Check out PhiPAL’s Kickstarter page for more information.

Manage your PhiPAL and communicate with other PhiPAL owners.

Like most of the best happenings in his life, Evans stumbled into his motojournalism career. While on his way to a planned life in academia, he applied for a job at a motorcycle magazine, thinking he’d get the opportunity to write some freelance articles. Instead, he was offered a full-time job in which he discovered he could actually get paid to ride other people’s motorcycles – and he’s never looked back. Over the 25 years he’s been in the motorcycle industry, Evans has written two books, 101 Sportbike Performance Projects and How to Modify Your Metric Cruiser, and has ridden just about every production motorcycle manufactured. Evans has a deep love of motorcycles and believes they are a force for good in the world.
