Earlier this week, Suzuki announced the U.S. launch of the VanVan 200, a retro scrambler that looks to compete against the likes of Yamaha‘s TW200.

Along with the VanVan, Suzuki confirmed two other small-displacement 2017 models in the returning GW250 and TU250X (at least, for 49 out of 50 states; of the two quarter-liter models, only the GW250 is available in California). Here’s what Suzuki has to say about both models:

2017 Suzuki GW250

An intelligent motorcycle in a class of its own, the 2017 Suzuki GW250 delivers style, performance, and comfort with broad appeal. The bodywork provides an aggressive naked statement that breaks away from the norm. Its chassis provides the foundation for a variety of riding styles, from sport-minded challenger to open-road traveler.

Twist the throttle and the GW250 answers quickly with a strong torque-rich feel provided by its 248cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected, twin-cylinder engine. The power is well proportioned and matched to the nimble chassis to move riders swiftly through city streets or over open roads. The GW250’s maneuverability and efficient fuel economy is the perfect choice for your daily transportation and riding fun.

2017 Suzuki TU250X

Combining big-single styling with user-friendly features, the 2017 Suzuki TU250X is a modern-day classic that is fun to ride.

Experienced motorcyclists appreciate the TU250X’s chrome-plated spoke wheels, polished engine cases, and timeless lines. New riders also love the classic styling, in addition to the lightweight feel and friendly power delivery.

The TU250X gets power from a 249cc, air-cooled four-stroke, single-cylinder, engine that’s fed by Suzuki’s highly regarded fuel injection system. By uniting classic style with modern motorcycle technology, the Suzuki TU250X lets riders experience motorcycling as it was, and should always be.
