Honda’s Indonesian importer, Astra Honda, has released a video teasing a new CBR250RR. The new model is expected to be the production version of the Light Weight Super Sport concept revealed at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda “Light Weight Super Sport” Concept Revealed

The 16-second teaser offers a few glimpses of the new model, including the 250RR badging confirming its approximate displacement. Of course, it’s highly probable that the CBR250RR will only be sold in Asian countries while western markets will instead receive a higher-displacement version to better face competition such as the Yamaha YZF-R3 and KTM RC390.

Other details revealed include an upside-down fork, ABS brakes with Nissin calipers and a fairing design that looks fairly similar to the concept. Not show however is the headlight, which we expect to be similar to a design recently patented by Honda.

The video doesn’t offer a clue as to when we will receive a full model announcement but based on how much of the bike is shown, it will be sooner rather than later.
