UmbrellaGirls Invade Laguna Seca

Press Release from UmbrellaGirls: The FIM World Superbike series and the AMA MotoAmerica road race series take place this weekend at the world famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California and UmbrellaGirlsUSA will be there in force representing a number of industry icons and manufacturers. Plus… the UmbrellaGirls will serve as the official SBK Grid Models and Hospitality Hostesses.

“Like last year, and the years previous, we are very excited to bring our UmbrellaGirls back to the West Coast road race event of the year,” explained Madison Hanson, Director of Operations for UmbrellaGirlsUSA. “This year is going to be special as it marks the return of MotoGP World Champion and America’s favorite road racer, Nicky Hayden.”For those who follow the SBK series, you’ll know that Honda’s Nicky Hayden, the likable “Kid” from Kentucky, won Race 2 at Round 6 in Malaysia and is currently running sixth in the points standing. The racing has been intense this season with Kawasaki pilot, Jonathan Rea, leading the series, followed by teammate Tom Sykes. Ducati’s Chaz Davies is currently in third place. With five rounds remaining, the championship is still up for grabs.

The MotoAmerica series has also been an exciting and close series to watch. Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing’s Cameron Beaubier has his hands full defending his 2015 Superbike title. He is currently in the points lead over his teammate Josh Hayes. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Toni Elias and Roger Hayden continually press the champion with a combined total of 6 race wins – and are respectively running third and fourth in the Superbike class series.
