Honda announced minor updates to the Montesa Cota 4RT260 for 2017. The changes were announced ahead of this weekend’s 2 Dies de Trial d’Encamp competition in Andorra. As of this writing, the updated 2017 model has only been confirmed for Europe; we’ll have to wait for official word from American Honda on a U.S. release.

The most noticeable change is swapping out the previous version’s red and black color scheme for Honda’s red, white and blue tricolor. Matching the brighter color scheme, the 39mm TECH fork is now chromed with black lowers.

The only technical change is a longer kickstart lever which should make it easier to fire up the 4RT260. The engine remains a 259cc Single which was updated last year with a new fuel pump. The ECU offers two ignition maps, a full power standard mode and a second mode for low-grip conditions.

The 4RT will also be offered in a Race Replica version with Repsol Honda factory team livery and premium Showa suspension.

The 2017 Honda Montesa Cota 4RT260 will arrive in European showrooms in September.
