Press Release: Round Three of the 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship is this weekend, as the Yamaha bLU cRU road racers visit New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.

Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing: Beaubier & Hayes
Last year, Cameron Beaubier and Josh Hayes came into New Jersey Motorsports Park for the final round of the 2015 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, with the title on the line between the two teammates. Josh won the battles–earning the pole and notching both Superbike victories at NJMP for his ninth and tenth wins on the season–but Cameron won the war, clinching his first Superbike Championship.

NJMP is a favorite track for both riders, and they’re excited about this springtime visit to Millville, especially after leaving Road Atlanta two weeks ago with Cameron winning Superbike Race 2 and Josh finishing a close second.

“We got our season back on track, in more ways than one,” Cameron commented. “Our first few races this year definitely didn’t go according to plan, so we’re hoping to build on the momentum we established in Race 2 at Road Atlanta. I like New Jersey Motorsports Park a lot, and my whole team and I are looking forward to this weekend.”

“I’ve won a lot of races at New Jersey Motorsports Park,” said Josh, who has racked up a career total of 11 Superbike victories at NJMP. “It’s always been a very good track for me, including last year when I got the double-win to end the 2015 MotoAmerica season. The fans are really awesome in New Jersey, too, and they always make us feel welcome. We’re ready to put on a great show for them this weekend.”

Superbike Superpole (Qualifying) begins on Saturday at 2:00 PM EST. Superbike Race 1 will go green on Sunday at 12:30 PM EST, and Superbike Race 2 is later on Sunday at 4:00 PM EST.

Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha: Beach & Gerloff
Defending MotoAmerica Supersport Champion JD Beach is hungry for victory this season and, after two rounds of the 2016 season, the “Jiggy Dog” will be racing hard to notch his first wins this year.

JD said, “I went back home after Road Atlanta and did a lot of cycling and riding dirt track like I did during the off-season. Garrett’s riding great right now, but I’ve got the #1 plate on my R6. My team and I are re-focused and ready to win this weekend.”

Meanwhile, JD’s teammate Garrett has gotten off to a storybook start to his season, earning the pole at both the Circuit of The Americas and Road Atlanta, and winning all three races thus far in 2016. Garrett returns to the track where his professional road racing career began–when he visited NJMP in 2011 just after turning 16 and won his first-ever AMA pro race.

“I’m having fun this year,” Garrett said. “Things are going great, and I’m glad to be racing this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park, which is a track I enjoy and have a lot of great memories from.”

Supersport Qualifying is Saturday at 9:20 AM EST. Supersport Race 1 is scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 PM EST, and Supersport Race 2 will go green on Sunday at 2:45 PM EST.

Meet The Yamaha bLU cRU Road Racers
Cameron and Josh from Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing, and JD and Garrett from Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha will be available for autographs at their Team Transporters on Saturday from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM.

The Fan Walk, scheduled for 10:50 to 11:30 AM Sunday on pit lane at New Jersey Motorsports Park, is another great opportunity to meet Cameron, Josh, JD, and Garrett. At both events, the riders will be handing out free, autographed posters and other team items, and you can also get your picture taken with them, as well as the Monster Energy and Yamalube Umbrella Girls.
