There was a point in time when Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez were on good terms. Remember that? MM93 even admitted to having posters of Rossi on his bedroom walls when he was a child. The relationship even turned professional, with Marquez choosing VR46 merchandising to hock his apparel and things. After the turn of events that happened between the two at Sepang last year, the relationship between Rossi and Marquez has disintegrated entirely. So much so that Marquez has officially terminated his contract with VR46 Merchandising. The full (short) press release is below.

AC Management, company in charge of managing the image rights of the riders Marc Márquez and Alex Márquez, informs that they have agreed with the Company VR46 Racing Apparel, S.r.l. to terminate the license agreements previously in force and under which the latter was in charge of the exploitation of both riders’ merchandising.

Both parties appreciate services rendered while the agreement was in force and wish each other success in future endeavors.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
