Honda announced a 3.8% decrease in motorcycle sales and a 6.5% decrease in motorcycle sales revenue for its fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015.

Over that three-month period, Honda sold 4.407 million units worldwide, compared to 4.585 million in the same quarter of the previous year. Unit sales were down in all markets except Europe where they held steady at about 33,000 units.

In North America, Honda sold 69,000 motorcycles (including ATVs), down from 72,000 units in the previous year. Despite the decrease in sales volume, Honda increased its North American sales revenue by 7.9%, taking in 42.9 million yen (US$354 million).

Overall, however, Honda’s motorcycle sales revenue totaled 442.2 billion yen (US$3.65 billion) over the third quarter, down from 472.8 billion yen reported the previous year.
