Earlier this week we posted two stories about heads-up display technology from DigiLens and BMW ( BMW Introduces HUD Helmet Concept, More Details On BMW’s Motorcycle Helmet HUD). We’ve now come to find out that DigiLens, the company responsible for manufacturing the technology for BMW’s smart helmet, is holding a design contest for its heads-up display. Participating is easy as the design interface is online, all you have to do is go to the DigiLens website and construct your layout. Before you begin, make sure to watch the one-minute instructional video.

The Contest begins January 6, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. pacific time and ends March 18, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. pacific time. Contest entries will be evaluated based upon originality and overall artistic impression (25%), how fun your design would be for motorcycle riders (25%), the features and functionality you select (25%) and how safe we think your design would be for riders (25%).
