A number of videos of the new 2016 BMW R nineT Scrambler have leaked online ahead of its official introduction at EICMA. The videos, uploaded to the AutoMotoTV YouTube channel, appear to be official BMW-produced videos, providing clear looks at the Scrambler including footage of how it handles off-road terrain.

The Scrambler will join the R nineT in a new family of “Heritage” products offered by BMW. The R nineT was designed to be modular, and it’s no surprise it shares several components with the Scrambler including the air-cooled 1170cc boxer.

The above screenshot from one video shows the Scrambler with five-spoke wheels and an upswept exhaust similar to the ones on the Concept Path 22 revealed in June. The videos also show the same bike with wire spoke wheels. In a presentation yesterday, BMW Motorrad Chief Stephen Schaller said the Scrambler was “ready to customize” like the R nineT, and the choice of cast or wire-spoke wheels will one such option BMW will likely offer.

BMW hasn’t released any official details about the R nineT Scrambler, so we’ll have to wait for the company’s presentation at EICMA. BMW did confirm the R nineT Scrambler will be joined in Milan by the entry-level G310R revealed yesterday, the previously-announced 2016 C650GT and C650 Sport scooters and a new member of BMW’s F series.

Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke will be live on the scene and we’ll have full coverage of the new model announcements from BMW and other motorcycle manufacturers at EICMA right here on Motorcycle.com.
