Ducati has released another teaser video, this time removing almost all doubt about a redesigned Diavel. We’ve already seen spy photos of the new Diavel and what glimpses of the bike Ducati shows in the video have confirmed our expectations of a more cruiser-ish design. What remains to be seen is whether this is a full replacement for the Diavel or a variant model.

From the video, we learn the new bike has an LED headlight and a new engine. We suspect the engine may use the Desmodromic Variable Timing technology introduced on the Multistrada 1200 but there’s nothing in the video to support our guess. Note that the entire right side of the engine is visible, confirming a new frame and exhaust system which cover parts of the engine on the current Diavel. The new exhaust has a simpler, more classic design than the current Diavel’s rather bulbous exhaust.

From the spy photos, we expect the new Diavel will be belt driven and have a sleeker fuel tank. Neither feature was heavily showcased in the latest video but we expect to see it when Ducati reveals its new models in one week’s time at EICMA.
