Yamaha To Display New Concept Model At AIMExpo This Weekend

During this weekend’s AIMExpo at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Yamaha will have on display a new concept model to gauge both consumer and media interest. In addition, the entire 2016 lineup will be on public display for the first time.

Those models include the 60th-Anniversary YZF-R1, YZF-R6, Super Ténéré, YZ450F, and YZ250F, as well as the new YZF-R1S, YZ450FX, WR450F, YZ250X and the all-new YXZ1000R Side x Side. All models will be on display at Booth 755 on Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday October 18, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Demo Rides

Demo rides will take place in the Orange County Convention Center parking lot on Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 5 PM; and on Sunday, October 18, from 10 AM to 4 PM. You’ll be able to take a demo ride aboard a 2016 Yamaha FZ-07, Star Bolt or Star Bolt R-Spec; or any of the following 2015 models; FJR1300, Super Ténéré, FZ-09, FJ-09, YZF-R6, YZF-R3, Star VMAX, V Star 1300 Deluxe, Raider Bullet Cowl, Stryker Bullet Cowl, or Bolt C-Spec. Demo rides will also be available on the 2016 Viking and Wolverine Side x Sides, as well as the 2016 Kodiak 700 and Grizzly ATV’s.

To take a ride on a motorcycle, you’ll need a valid motorcycle license (permits are not allowed), a DOT-approved helmet, long pants, enclosed shoes, a shirt, and eye protection. To demo a Side x Side or ATV, you’ll just need a valid driver’s license (a motorcycle license is not required), long pants, enclosed shoes, and a shirt. Additional safety gear will be provided.

Meet The Yamaha bLU cRU Road Racers

Yamaha road racing fans will have the chance to meet many of Yamaha’s MotoAmerica stars, including 2015 MotoAmerica Superbike champ Cameron Beaubier, Superstock 1000 champion Jake Gagne, Supersport champ JD Beach, Superstock 600 champ Joe Roberts, four-time AMA Superbike champion Josh Hayes, Garrett Gerloff, and Josh Day. They’ll be available for autograph signings on Saturday, October 17 from 2:00 – 2:30pm at the Yamaha display (booth 755).

The 2015 Yamaha R1M is one of the most technically advanced motorcycles on the market. To help consumers learn more about it, Yamaha has created a cutaway display model of the R1M to give viewers an up-close look at all the technology it has to offer. It too will be available in booth 755.
