Kawasaki Ninja H2R Recalled in Australia
Kawasaki‘s supercharged Ninja H2R is facing a recall in Australia because of a problem with the wiring harness. As of this writing, the recall has only been announced by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission for that market, but considering the limited production run for the H2R, it’s possible that models bound for other countries may have the same issue. The Ninja H2 is not affected by the recall.

According to the ACCC, the wiring harness on some H2R models may get pinched between frame parts. This may damage the wiring, potentially causing the engine to stall or, in a worst case scenario, lead to excess fuel injection, increasing the risk of a fire.
Motorcycle.com will provide an update if a similar recall is announced for other markets or if it expands to include the Ninja H2.
