Suzuki announced its 2016 off-road models headlined by an updated RM-Z250. Joining the 250 in the 2016 lineup are the RM-Z450 and RM85 motocrossers, DR-Z125L dirtbike and DR-Z70 youth model.

2016 Suzuki RM-Z250

For 2016, the RM-Z250 receives the Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) which was first introduced with the 450 last year. S-HAC offers three selectable launch modes designed for different gate conditions. Along with the standard power launch mode, A Mode is used for hard or less-than-ideal starting conditions while B Mode offers improved traction for a more aggressive launch. Modes are selected with a push button on the left handlebar.

Suzuki also updated the 250’s suspension with a new air fork and rear shock from KYB. The KYB PSF2 air fork offers spring-preload adjustment using an air pump. The fork also offers high- and low-speed adjustment for both rebound damping and compression damping. The rear shock also offers high- and low-speed rebound damping and compression damping, but for 2016, the adjusters are now positioned at the top of the shock for easier access.

The frame is new, designed to work with the updated suspension. Suzuki claims the revised frame geometry improves control through braking bumps while offering a lighter feel.

Suzuki updated the 249cc Single with the goal of improving mid-range power and torque delivery. The fuel mapping has also been updated to make it easier to start the engine while smoothing engine braking. The RM-Z250 comes with two fuel couplers for quick selection of richer or leaner fuel settings.

Other features include a new, lighter front brake caliper, race-inspired disc rotors, Excel aluminum rims and an aluminum Renthal Fatbar.

The 2016 Suzuki RM-Z250 is offered in Champion Yellow/Solid Black for a retail price of $7,699.

2016 Suzuki RM-Z450

The RM-Z450 returns for 2016 with a more refined S-HAC system. Returning unchanged are the 449cc engine, Showa SFF air suspension and swapable fuel couplers.

The 2016 Suzuki RM-Z450 is priced at $8,749 and will be offered in Champion Yellow/Solid Black.

2016 Suzuki RM-85

Rounding out Suzuki’s motocross line is the two-stroke RM-85. Unchanged for 2016, the RM-85 features an 84.7cc engine, 37mm Showa fork (with 10.8 inches of travel), Showa rear shock (offering 10.9 inches of travel) and a six-speed transmission.

Available in Champion Yellow, the 2016 Suzuki RM-85 is priced at $4,099.

2016 Suzuki DR-Z125L

The DR-Z125L returns for 2016 in a similar Champion Yellow/Solid Black paint job as the competition bikes. Highlights include a 19-inch front wheel, 16-inch rear wheel, preload-adjustable rear shock and a 124cc air-cooled Single promising strong low-to-mid-end power.

The 2016 Suzuki DR-Z125L retails for $3,199.

2016 Suzuki DR-Z70

And finally, Suzuki confirms the DR-Z70 is returning for 2016. Designed for young riders, the DR-Z70 is powered by a 67cc air-cooled Single with an easy-to-use three-speed auto clutch transmission. The 10-inch wheels and 22-inch seat height make the DR-Z70 a good fit with small riders.

The DR-Z70 is offered for $1,799 in a Champion Yellow color scheme.
