2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin Revealed in Australian Patent Filings
Earlier this week, Honda confirmed it is bringing back the Africa Twin. The announcement was accompanied by a couple of heavily-shadowed images and two videos offering a mere glimpse of the new CRF1000L Africa Twin.
Discuss this at our Honda Africa Twin Forum.
If you can’t wait for what looks to be a long teaser campaign, we present full images of the new Africa Twin from Honda’s own design patent filed in Australia. From these images we can see radial-mount brakes, handguards, rear luggage rack, a trellis subframe with integral bag mounts and a large bash plate that covers the CRF1000L’s belly, except for the exposed exhaust pipe.
The rear perspectives also give us a look at the tall yet narrow instrument cluster. It’s not quite a Dakar rig but it is easily visible even from behind.
We expect more details to come out in the weeks ahead. Check back here for the latest.
