From a Dunlop press release:

Dunlop will host Jamie Hacking at the MotoAmerica race at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on May 15-17. Hacking will ride a lap of honor on Dunlop’s Yamaha R6 test bike, and will also be on hand at the Dunlop truck to sign autographs and hang out with fans.

Hacking was one of the fiercest competitors in U.S. road racing while riding for a variety of factory teams. He retired in 2010 after more than a decade of professional racing, which started with him winning the Rookie Of The Year honors in his first season. His career included winning three AMA Pro championships, and piling up wins in various classes: 21 in Supersport; 11 in Superstock; one in Superbike; and two in Formula Xtreme. His win total puts him ninth on the
all-time win list in the U.S. Jamie racked up all of these accomplishments on Dunlop tires, in a career that spanned more than a decade.

Check out MotoAmerica.com for more details of Hacking’s appearance at VIR, and for all the information about the 2015 MotoAmerica series.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
